I think these new tools will help a lot to interact with the students and know their different points of view, giving a new approach and enrichment in the class environment.
Now days the students use to these type of tools and incorporate them to the classroom it's a big breakthrough; therefore it is imperative that the teacher knows how to use and apply such tools inside and outside the classroom for the betterment of eduducation.
I think your students are going to have some interesting online adventures...especially if your avatar goes along!
